In the movie “The Lakehouse” who designed and built the house and why  didn’t  Keanu Reeves character turn up to the restaurant as arranged?

Answer: The person who designed and built “The Lakehouse” was Keanu Reeves’ character’s father. Keanu Reeves’ character died in a bus accident on 14^th February 2006.  It was later in the film that Sandra Bullock left him some mail and told him not to cross the road on the 14^th February 2006.
